Barcelona look to continue their good start to the La Liga season when they travel to Real Sociedad on Saturday night.
With just Barca and Real Madrid winning their first three league games in Spain’s top flight, Ernesto Valverde’s side have a real chance to separate themselves from the field with a solid performance in San Sebastian.
Here’s the lineup that will be expected to get the job done at the weekend.
1. Goalkeeper & Defenders
Marc-Andre Ter Stegen (GK) – The German is closing in on 150 appearances in all competitions for Barca and will feature here.
Sergi Roberto (RB) – Barca’s fourth captain will start at right back.
Samuel Umtiti (CB) – The World Cup winning centre back returns from another successful international break with France looking to help Barca continue their winning start to the season.
Gerard Pique (CB) – Now without the burden of international fixtures, Pique can focus solely on shoring up Barcelona’s defence.
Jordi Alba (LB) – Recently left out of Spain’s squad, Alba has a bit of work to do to prove to former Barca boss Luis Enrique that he should be in La Furia’s team.
Sergio Busquets (CM) – Expect plenty of turns and swivels from Busquets on Saturday night.
Philippe Coutinho (CM) – Andres Iniesta’s successor is likely in for a tough match against Sociedad.
Ivan Rakitic (CM) – With Arturo Vidal expected to remain on the bench, Croatia international Rakitic should start instead.
Lionel Messi (RW) – An absolute shoo-in to start.
Luis Suarez (ST) – With two goals and two assists in his first three La Liga games, Suarez has started the season as he means to go on.
Ousmane Dembele (LW) – The Frenchman will again feature on the left of a front three.
