Picking the Best Potential Barcelona Lineup to Face Sevilla on Saturday

?Unbeaten Barcelona entertain fifth-placed Sevilla at Camp Nou on Saturday in La Liga, with the hosts having failed to win all but two games this season across all competitions.

After a goalless draw in Greece in midweek, however, Ernesto Valverde could shake things up in midfield with a number of players ruled out and a doubt ahead of the game.

Goalkeeper

  • Ter Stegen

?The German stopper will keep his place in goal ahead of Jasper Cillessen. Some fine stops helped Barça avoid a potentially embarrassing slip up against Girona recently.

  • Umtiti

  • Jordi Alba

?With Sergi Roberto and Rafinha both out, Jose Semedo will play on the right of defence. On the opposite flank, Jordi Alba remains a regular fixture in the Barca starting lineup.

Javier Mascherano may be preferred again to Gerard Pique in the centre, whilst Samuel Umtiti will partner the veteran Argentinian.

Midfield

  • Rakitic

?Andres Iniesta is a doubt for the game and may not be risked, meaning Paulinho could keep his place from Wednesday night, with Ivan Rakitic coming back into the starting lineup also, looking to unlock the visiting back line.

Sergio Busquets will take up his familiar role as an anchor in central midfield.
