The team will open with daily workouts at the Ciutat Esportiva followed by a training camp at St. Georges Park in England
FC Barcelona’s 2016/17 preseason officially opens on 19 July, when the players will be at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper for physicals and orientation. Training will begin the following day.
Players taking part in the Copa América, the Euro 2016 and the Summer Olympics will gradually rejoin the team afterwards.
Trip to England
From 25–30 July, the team will hold a preseason training camp at St. George’s Park, the same complex where they trained in the summer of 2014, Luis Enrique’s first as Barça manager.
From there, Barça will fly to Dublin for a 30 July friendly with Celtic as part of the International Champions Cup.
More friendlies confirmed
Besides the game to be played in Dublin on 30 July, two more games are already confirmed: one against Leicester at the Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden on 3 August, and another against Liverpool at Wembley Stadium on 6 August.
The date of the Joan Gamper Trophy, which once again will be the official presentation of the team for the 2016/17 season, as well, as the two legs of the Spanish Super Cup versus Sevilla, have yet to be confirmed.
