On 15 May 2004, in an U19 Copa del Rey round of 16 match, the Argentinian scored four against the Andalusians
Leo Messi has a long habit of pestering Sevilla. Since he has been in the first team, the Argentinian has put 25 goals past this weekend’s Copa del Rey final opposition (20 in the league, 3 in the Spanish Super Cup and 2 in the European one). But the story began even earlier, when he scored four goals against them on 15 May 2004 as an U19 player.
It happened in the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey in that age category, and it only took Messi 25 minutes to achieve the feat.
It was actually one day after that when Luis Enrique played his last ever game at the Camp Nou. Twelve years later, and they are together with their sights set on winning FC Barcelona the cup for the 28th time … and against Sevilla once again.
