The team opens preparations for Sunday’s Copa del Rey final versus Sevilla
It was a great long weekend for FC Barcelona, one in which they flew to Granada on Friday evening, won the La Liga title on Saturday evening, and celebrated it on Sunday evening with a parade through the streets of Barcelona.
But now, the time has come to get back to work.
The season isn’t over quite yet.
There’s one more game to play.
The prize? The Copa del Rey and a domestic double to cement this season as one of the finer ones in Club history.
After Monday’s much deserved off day, the team was back at their Ciutat Esportiva training centre on Tuesday morning to begin mapping out their plans to defeat Sevilla in Sunday’s Cup final in Madrid.
Barça manager Luis Enrique kept a watchful eye on Tito Vilanova Field, where all available first team players worked out, plus the reserve player Juan Cámara. Midfielder Arda Turan was granted permission to miss the session for personal reasons.
The team will be back out on the training pitch on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday as they wind up preparations for Sunday’s game.
Kick-off at the Vicente Calderón Stadium is set for 9.30pm CET.
