Since opening his FC Barcelona account against Atlético Madrid in 2013, Neymar Jr has become a nightmare for Los Rojiblancos in all competitions.

The Brazilian forward has scored six goals against Diego Simeone’s side over the last two and a half seasons, striking at least once in each competition in which the two sides have faced each other.

It all started with a header in the Spanish Super Cup in 2013/14 which would prove to be the decisive goal as Barça won the tie on away goals (1-1). In the same season, he also scored the team’s only goal in the Champions League quarter-final against Atlético, though the side from the capital came out victorious in the tie.

The following season, Neymar scored in a 3-1 La Liga win as well as a brace in a 3-2 victory in the Copa del Rey while he also got his name on the scoresheet in this season’s 2-1 away win in the capital.

The 24-year-old will now be setting his sights on more of the same in the upcoming two-legged affair in April.
