Barça B remain on their upward trajectory as they recorded a sixth victory in a row in the Second Division B, the latest win coming 2-0 at home to Atlético Levante. An own goal from Dani Calvo and a first strike for Barça B by Salva Chamorro handed Gerard López’s team another win and impressively a sixth clean sheet in a row also. For the B team there were debuts for Borja López and Paik.

The home side looked to dominate from the very first minute. Juan Cámara had the first chance for Barças with barely 60 seconds in the game played. Godswill also then went close, his shot just shaving the post with 10 minutes on the clock.

The opening goal came on 24 minutes and arrived from a corner, Atlético’s Dani Calvo turning Perea’s ball into the box past his own keeper. That strike came after Xemi and Dani Romera had both gone close and it was no less than Gerard López’s team deserved.

Barça B could have gone in at half time further ahead. Perea created a chance all by himself that just flew wide and Cámara brought a save from Levante keeper Koke just before the sides went in at the break with the home team leading 1-0.

The visitors came out strongly in the second half with Juan Delgado very nearly bringing them level. The appearance of Salva Chamarro would prove to be providential in the second half. The new signing had only been on the pitch a couple of minutes before he finished at close range after good work by Cámara on 69 minutes. With the game in the bag, Gerard López brought on winter acquisition Borja López and U19 player Paik for their debuts towards the end of Barça B’s sixth win in a row.
