The team begins to get ready for Sunday’s La Liga clash with Celta at Camp Nou, just hours after qualifying for the season’s first final
Approximately 12 hours after picking up a sixth berth in the Copa del Rey Final in the last eight years, FC Barcelona were back out on the training pitch, but with a different objective in their sights — this Sunday’s La Liga encounter with Celta Vigo at Camp Nou. Kick-off is set for 8.30pm.
Wednesday night’s starters went through a light recovery session, while the rest of the team trained as normal.
Lionel Messi, who missed training on Monday and Tuesday to undergo medical testing stemming from a kidney issue he experienced in December, was back out on the practise field.
Celta, which beat Barça 4–1 at Balaídos on 23 September, pose a major challenge. Keenly aware of Celta’s determination, head coach Luis Enrique has scheduled two more workouts — on Friday and Saturday — ahead of Sunday’s game.
