The pair, who were both at the Andalusian club last season, spoke to Barça TV as their former teammates come to town on Sunday
As FC Barcelona prepare to host Sevilla for Week 26 of La Liga on Sunday, the night will be particularly special for two members of the Catalan side.
The two teams have done plenty of business in recent years, with the likes of Dani Alves, Adriano Correia and Ivan Rakitic all moving from the Sánchez Pizjuán to the Camp Nou to great effect.
Last summer was no different, as Aleix Vidal and Moises Delgado exchanged Andalusia for Catalonia. Barça TV caught up with the pair ahead of the upcoming game:
Old club back in town
AV: “They played a good game at the Sánchez Pizjuán, where Sevilla rarely ever lose. But now we are playing at Camp Nou, with the support of our fans where we will try to get the three points to extend our lead over our rivals.”
MD: “Barça cannot be compared to anybody, even though Sevilla played a great game over there (in Andalusia). Now the team have to do their bit to continue this (unbeaten) streak”.
Emotional return
AV: “I don’t believe you have to be at a club for many years to have great memories. Last season, in which we won the Europa League, was one of the best of my career, if not the best.”
Time at Sevilla
MD: “Seeing as there were many matches, whenever (Unai) Emery needed players I would be called to train with the first team. It was there were we met (with Aleix Vidal).”
AV: “Moi is a great full back who is strong in offensively. He is doing well in the reserves.”
