Anti-doping tests

On Thursday morning, UEFA anti-doping officials were at the Ciutat Esportiva for routine blood and urine controls. The following players were tested: Ter Stegen, Piqué, Busquets, Iniesta, Suárez, Neymar, Bartra, Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto and Mathieu.

With no time to celebrate qualifying for the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey for the sixth consecutive season, FC Barcelona have already begin preparing for their next challenge — this Saturday’s 4.00pm La Liga match versus Atlético Madrid at Camp Nou. The game pits the league’s top two teams, both tied with 48 points, although FCB are ahead on goal differential.

After a hard-fought 3–1 victory over Athletic Club on Wednesday night, those who started took part in a recovery session Thursday morning on Field 2 at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, while the remaining players trained as normal with an eye already on Saturday’s match.

Barça’s second and final session ahead of the visit from Atlético will be this Friday at 11.00am. Luis Enrique’s weekly press conference will come after the workout.
