Luis Enrique calls on Samper, Gumbau, Kaptoum and Cámara of FC Barcelona B and Arnau and Mújica of the U19 team for the first session of the week
For the first time since the 1-1 draw in Valencia on Saturday, a game that in terms of chances and dominance of the play they felt that really should have won, the FC Barcelona players worked out at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on Monday morning. The session started at the usual time of 11.00am CET, with a hint of mist in the air and temperatures of around 14ºC.
They have taken their focus away from the league to concentrate instead on the last game of the Champions League group stage. That match takes them to Germany and a game at Bayern Leverkusen on Wednesday at 8.45pm CET, although it’s little more than a formality at this stage, with Barça not only already guaranteed a berth in the last sixteen, bit also a place among the top seeds as winners of Group E.
Not only did Luis Enrique called upon all of the available first team players for the training session, but also four members of Barça B (Sergi Samper, Gerard Gumbau, Wilfrid Kaptoum and Juan Cámara) plus Arnau Campeny and Rafa Mujica of the U19 team.
