The team’s recent Club World Cup title, won in Japan, entitles them to wear the special FIFA patch throughout 2016

Fans can buy a jersey with the new badge at the FCB Megastore at Camp Nou, with availability at retail stores and online coming soon

Just in case anyone missed last weekend’s Club World Cup Final in Yokohama, Japan, there’s an easy way to figure out who won — just take a gander at FC Barcelona’s jerseys beginning with their next game versus Real Betis on 30 December.

Barça will be sporting a special gold patch that reads: FIFA World Champions 2015. And it won’t just be a one-off occasion. The Catalans will be donning the emblem throughout 2016 as well.

This is the third time such an honour has been bestowed upon FC Barcelona, having also occurred following triumphs in Abu Dhabi in 2009 and in Japan in 2011. Barça are the only side in history to have won the Club World Cup three times.

The new patch is not just for the players, though. Fans can either buy a new shirt with the logo already on it or they can have the badge added to a jersey they already own. The cost of the patch is five Euros and is already available at the FCB Megastore at Camp Nou in Barcelona. Online and retail sales are coming soon.

Commemorative t-shirt

Beyond the new addition to FC Barcelona’s official jersey, fans can also purchase the official Nike t-shirt that the players wore during the post-game celebrations and the flight home following their 3–0 victory over River Plate in the World Cup Final. The t-shirt features an exclusive, Japanese style design, and may be purchased for 29 Euros. It is on sale now at the Camp Nou Megastore and will soon be available online and at other retail locations.
