FC Barcelona players vote for FIFA FIFPRO World XI

Once all the votes have been counted, FIFPro will announce the names of the 5 goalkeepers, 20 defenders, 15 midfielders and 15 strikers which will form the shortlist for the prestigious world XI.

The first team players at FC Barcelona have been exercising their right to vote in the election of candidates to form part of the FIFA FIFPro World XI 2015 which will be announced next January and the Ballon d’or Gala in Zurich.

The FIFA FIFPro World XI is chosen from the more than 50,000 votes cast by professional footballers from all over the world. The voting is coordinated by the players international union (FIFPro) and the chosen XI consists of 1 goalkeeper, 4 defender, 3 midfielders and 3 strikers.

In Spain players from the First, Second A and Second B Divisions in the season 2015/16 are eligible to vote via the Spanish Players’ Union the AFE (Asociación de Futbolistas Españoles).

The FIFA FIFPro World XI 2014 was formed by Manuel Neuer (FC Bayern Munich); Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid CF), Thiago Silva (Paris Saint-Germain), David Luiz (Paris Saint-Germain), Phillip Lahm (FC Bayern Munich); Andrés Iniesta (FC Barcelona), Toni Kroos (Real Madrid CF), Angel di Maria (Manchester United); Arjen Robben (FC Bayern Munich), Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid CF).
