Luis Suárez Moments
The striker’s one-year anniversary with Barça is coming up on 25 October

On 25 October 2014 Luis Suárez finally made his Barça debut, leaving behind a suspension stemming from the World Cup. A year later, the Uruguayan has demonstrated his effectiveness with 32 goals in 56 games. Since joining Barça he has already won four titles — La Liga, the UEFA Champions League, the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Super Cup. Here’s a look back at ten moments to remember from Suárez’s first year with the Club.

10/25/14 Debut at the Bernabéu
The first game following the end if the FIFA suspension. It was nothing less than a Clásico. Suárez started and assisted Neymar to put Barça up 1–0. Real Madrid, however, would come back and win, 3–1. Suárez played 70 minutes.

11/25/14: First goal in Nicosia
Exactly one month after debuting, Suárez scored his first Barça goal. It came at APOEL Nicosia in the fifth round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League. Suárez opened the scoring after a spectacular dribble with his heel and a solid finish. Barca won 4–0.

1/11/15: An iconic image
There was an immediate connection between strikers Lionel Messi, Neymar and Suárez. It was immortalised in this photograph after a momentous 3–1 victory over Atlético Madrid in the league. The trio combined for a record 122 goals in the 2014/15 season.

2/15/15: Scissors-kick goal versus Levante
It was quite possibly the most beautiful goal in Club history. In the 72nd minute in week 23 of La Liga, Suárez nailed a cross from Adriano on the left, firing the ball with a stunning scissors-kick for Barça’s fifth and final goal in a shutout victory at Camp Nou.

3/22/15: Decisive Clásico goal
Suárez scored the game-winner on 54 minutes in a 2–1 Barça victory over Real Madrid at Camp Nou, taking a pass from Dani Alves and beating Iker Casillas. Camp Nou erupted and chanted his name.

4/16/15: Brace at Parc des Princes
One of Suárez’s most memorable Barça performances came in the first leg of the 2014/15 Champions League quarter-finals. His two goals, on 67 and 79 minutes, helped give Barça a 3–1 victory and a big push towards the semi-finals.

02/05/15: His first hat-trick
For the moment, Suárez only has one hat-trick with Barça. It came at Córdoba last season in Barça’s 8–0 rout which tied the Club record for biggest road win.

6/6/15: A goal for the European Cup
Suárez entered the annals of Club history as one of the heroes of Barça’s fifth Champions League crown. His goal against Juventus in the Berlin final put Barça up 2–1 before Neymar would later close out the scoring.

8/11/15: Still scoring, and winning
Unlike his first year, Suárez started the 2015/16 season at the same time as his teammates. He entered the preseason in great shape and scored a goal in Barça’s 5–4 win over Sevilla in UEFA Super Cup Final. It was his fourth title since joining the team.

10/20/15: Candidate for the Ballon d’Or
FIFA recently announced the 23 finalists for the award honoring the best player in 2015, and Suárez is one of them. Barça is the most represented team with Suárez being joined on the list by Messi, Neymar, Javier Mascherano, Andrés Iniesta and Ivan Rakitic.
