After beating Eibar on Sunday, attention now turns to Wednesday’s cup match away to Villanovense
The Barça first team got straight back to work on Monday morning after winning a tricky game with Eibar 3-1 on Sunday night. Next up is the first Copa del Rey match of the season away to Villanovense of Division 2B on Wednesday night at 8.30pm CET. Luis Enrique started the week with a training session in which the focus was on recovering from the previous day’s excursions.
The session on the Tito Vilanova Field began with a hearty welcome for Adriano, who is 31 today. The available first team players were joined for today’s workout by four members of the reserve team, Gerard Gumbau, Sergi Samper, Wilfrid Kaptoum and Aitor Cantalapiedra.
Barça will train at the same time on Tuesday and then again on Wednesday morning before heading for Villanueva de la Serena in western Spain for the round of 32 first leg.
