After the victory over Borisov and a day off, Barça begin to get ready for the Basques, who visit Camp Nou on Sunday

Thursday’s workout was the team’s first with a special new ball

FC Barcelona’s first team returned to training on Thursday with a morning session on Tito Vilanova Field at the Ciutat Esportiva. The Catalans are preparing to face Eibar in week nine of La Liga play this weekend.

Following Tuesday’s victory against BATE Borisov and a day off, the team was back out on the training pitch in Sant Joan Despí.

Luis Enrique had all available players on hand for his team’s first morning of preparations for Sunday. Kick off at Camp Nou is set for 6.15pm CET.  Barça B midfielder Gerard Gumbau joined the first team.

Thursday’s workout was FC Barcelona’s first using the new official ball of La Liga. The ball, which is yellow, was designed for winter play and will make its first appearance this Sunday.

The team will train again on both Friday and Saturday at 11.00am CET.

FC Barcelona are in third place in La Liga on goal differential, while Eibar are currently in seventh.
