Josep Maria Bartomeu arrived in San Francisco on Wednesday, and on arrival he spoke to the press. He hinted that there will be no further transfer activity during the preseason when he commented that “the team is ready. We have a complete and balanced squad and Luis Enrique is happy with the players he has.”

But he was asked to clarify the situations of Pedro and Adriano. His response was that “nobody has addressed the club officially. We need all of the players because we are aiming to win every title this season. They’re going to be required.”

Still on the team’s ambitions for the coming campaign, Bartomeu said that “we are hoping for the kind of season that Barça fans like, with us winning a lot of cups … It’s not that we’re ambitious at the moment, we’ve always been that way. But this year there are more titles than ever to play for.”[[CITA_1]]He also mentioned his new technical director, Robert Fernández, explaining that “we spoke to him in February and we liked his way of thinking. He knows Barça and has experience of working in the Sports Department. He was unable to come here at the time because he was working somewhere else.”

He concluded by revealing that Fernández will be flying out to join the team in the USA on Thursday or Friday.
