The Barça goalkeeper works on reflexes and footwork for the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals
FC Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has been diligently preparing for the return leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals against Paris Saint-Germain at Camp Nou on Tuesday at 8.45pm CET. Well aware of PSG’s great offensive potential, Ter Stegen has been working out to the maximum with goalkeeping coach José Ramón de la Fuente and fellow goalkeepers Claudio Bravo and Jordi Masip.
It is virtually certain that Ter Stegen will be in net on Tuesday night, having established himself as the team’s Champions League keeper. In the first leg of the quarter-finals, Ter Stegen was outstanding in goal for all 90 minutes, making a decisive stop on a powerful shot from PSG’s Edinson Cavani following a corner kick with the score at 2–0.
On that save, Ter Stegen showed his excellent reflexes and big-time skills. This video shows how De la Fuente puts Ter Stegen’s reflexes and footwark to the test.
