First team en route to Manchester

The FC Barcelona squad have departed for Manchester for their Champions League match on Tuesday night at 8.45 PM CET

They will train at the match venue, the Etihad Stadium, on Monday evening

The first team left the Ciutat Esportiva at 9.30 this morning to take a flight to Manchester. The plane left El Prat Airport at 10.30 AM CET and arrived in the English city at 11.50 AM GMT. The team will rest at their hotel and then at 7.00 PM GMT they’ll be training in the Etihad Stadium, the venue for Tuesday night’s game. Before, at 6.15 PM GMT, manager Tata Martino and defender Gerard Piqué will be speaking to the media.

President Josep Maria Bartomeu is leading the expedition, joined by Javier Faus, Carles Vilarrubí and Jordi Mestre, secretary of the board Toni Freixa and directors Jordi Moix, Pilar Guinovart, Ramon Pont, Dídac Lee and Josep Ramon Vidal-Abarca. As usual, director of sport Andoni Zubizarreta is also travelling with the 23 man squad.
