Training session on Wednesday
FC Barcelona’s next training session will be on Wednesday at 11.00 at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
Thiago Alcántara was one of the standout players in Barça’s 0-3 victory over Zaragoza at La Romareda this Sunday afternoon. After the match, Thiago said, “every team has a lot on the line at this point in the season and they are stronger when they play at home, that’s why we’re very pleased with today’s win.” He added: “we were a complete team today in all aspects of the game, and the score reflects that.”
The midfielder noted that “we want to win La Liga as soon as possible, but the race isn’t over yet. There are a lot of points still in play and we can’t assume that this is a done deal.”
Here are the statements made by some of the Barça players after the match:
Cesc Fàbregas:
“La Romareda is always a difficult stadium, and the conditions we played in weren’t very helpful.”
“We’ve had a more injuries than normal this year and it’s wearing us down, but our form is good coming into the final stretch of the season.”
Cristian Tello:
“We knew that this was going to be a difficult match, but we were very focused.”
“I’m pleased that I scored two goals, but even more so that the team won.”
“Even though this wasn’t our usual starting line-up, the team played the same style of football. It shows that we are all here to contribute.”
Marc Bartra:
“We didn’t give Zaragoza a chance, we were very focused throughout the game.”
“I’m very comfortable playing alongside Adriano. We were very focused and the most important thing is that we didn’t concede any goals.”
