The assistant manager says that it’s a “shame” Athletic scored in the last minute of a match that Barça “had in the bag”

After today’s match against Athletic, Jordi Roura said it was “a shame” that Athletic Club managed to equalise in the final minute of the match.

“Messi is well. He’s recovering as planned and he played a good match today,” said Roura when asked about Leo Messi, who was subbed on in the 57th minute of the match. The Argentine scored one goal and provided an assist for Alexis. “We have to take this one game at a time. We’ll try to win the title. It’s very difficult to win away to Athletic, we had the match won and they showed us why they are hard to defeat. We’re getting closer to our objective,” said Roura.

Praise for his players

The assistant manager singled out three players for praise: Alex Song, Thiago Alcántara and Alexis Sánchez. “We came to Bilbao with the objective of winning the three points and we fell just short. Song was fantastic, Thiago played a great match and Alexis also did very well,” said the assistant manager.
