The match in Shanghai, originally planned for 4th August, will finally not take place

FC Barcelona will bring this summer’s tour of Asia to a close with matches in Bangkok on 7th August against the Thai national team and in Kuala Lumpur on 10th August against a Malaysian League XI.

Finally, the friendly planned for Shanghai on 4th August will not take place.  The Club, together with the promoter, has decided not to go ahead with the game after coming to the conclusion that it could not be played in perfect conditions.

FC Barcelona hopes to arrange another match in China in the future in order to maintain contact with our Chinese fans, which remains a priority for the Club.

First week in Barcelona

The Barça squad will report back to Barcelona on 29th July after the holidays for the internationals and will devote the first week to an intensive series of training sessions in Barcelona ahead of the tour.  Beforehand, however, the team will play two or three warm-up friendlies including the match already announced for the 24th July in Munich against Bayern.
