With seven games and 21 points up for grabs before the end of the season, Barça are 13 pints ahead at the top.

The 0-3 win in Zaragoza brought the league trophy one step closer to the Camp Nou, with Barça maintaining their 13 point lead over second place Real Madrid, with Atletico Madrid a further three adrift, with just 21 points left to play for. With seven games left to play, Barça need just nine points to mathematically claim the title – which will be their fourth in five years.
Three wins off the title
If Barça win their next three games – against Llevant, Athletic Bilbao and Betis- that will be enough to win the title whatever Real Madrid do and the trophy could come to the Camp Nou for the home game against Betis, just a few days after the Champions League semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich.
Should Madrid slip up before that, the title could be Barça’s after their last ever visit to San Mames, which happens between the two European semi-finals.
Two key games
There are two key games to be borne in mind –with the Madrid derby due in a fortnight presenting the perfect opportunity for one of the two teams behind Barça to drop points, and Barça’s visit to the Vicente Calderon a fortnight later. The Atletico Madrid- Barça game could see Tito’s side arrive as champions, or see them take a decisive step towards the title. Whatever happens, it seems certain that the Club’s 22nd league championship is due sooner or later this season!
