Barça boast a 100% home league record against tonight’s visitors Llevant, having won all seven of the matches between them.
In all, Barça have scored 25 goals in the seven games, averaging 3,6 goals a game and just 1 conceded.
Llevant will be back at the Camp Nou tonight, but though they are one of the toughest teams to crack in the top flight, Llevant have always found it a difficult ground to do well at, having lost all seven games they’ve played at the Estadi.
A solid defence that crumbles at the Camp Nou
Juan Ignacio Martínez’s side have a reputation as one of Spain’s best defensive outfit, with Juanfran, David Navarro, Sergio Ballesteros and company forming a solid defence that is never easy to get through for most sides. Barça are the exception to that though, having enjoyed plenty of goals in the games against the Valencia team.
Barça have scored a total of 25 goals and conceded just 7 in the games between the two at the Camp Nou, averaging 3,6 goals a game and averaging just one conceded, with a number of big wins along the way.
Last season, Leo Messi, Cesc Fàbregas, Isaac Cuenca and Alèxis Sánchez were on target on the 5-0 win, whilst in the 2007/08 campaign, Messi, Xavi and a hat trick from Eto’o, gave Barça a 5-1 win, despite a Llevant equaliser from Mustapha Riga, that had given the visitors a glimmer of hope early on.
Run that stretches back to the 1960s
Those two are the most recent big wins for Barça, but their scoring feats go back to the 60s when they won 6-2 and 4-2 in 1963/64 and 1964/65 – their last two visits to the Camp Nou until they made it back to the top flight in 2004.
