FC Barcelona will embark on a tour of Asia this summer, its fifth in the last 10 years

This will be the fifth tour of Asia for FC Barcelona, the previous happened in 2004/05, 2005/06, 2007/08 and 2010/11 seasons

The Blaugrana visited China on the previous four tours

Additional tour at the end of the 2004/05 season

In addition to the four tours in 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2010, the first team did another at the end of the 2004/05 season. On that occasion, the team featured in two matches in Tokyo, against Yokohama Marinos (3-3) and Urawa Red Diamonds (0-3).

FC Barcelona will play three matches this summer in Asia. The team will travel to China on August 3, Thailand on August 7, and Malaysia on August 10, where they will play against three teams that have yet to be announced. This will be Barça’s fifth tour of Asia in the last 10 years. Here’s an overview of the first four:

Summer of 2004

Cities visited: Seoul (South Korea), Tokyo and Shizuoka (Japan)and Shanghai (China)
