The most recent matches against AC Milan have been especially marked by emotional reunions
Ronaldinho played his last match at the Camp Nou in 2010 and Ibrahimovic featured against the Blaugrana last season
This Wednesday Bojan will face his old team at San Siro Stadium
This Wednesday’s match will be a very emotional one for Bojan Krkic. The player will face FC Barcelona, the Club where he learned how to play professional football, for the first time in his career. Bojan played for Barça through the summer of 2011, he was then sent out on loan to Roma, and a year later he was loaned to AC Milan.
41 goals in 163 appearances
Bojan played a total of 163 games for FC Barcelona’s first team over four seasons (2007-11). In this time he claimed 10 titles (three Ligas, two Champions Leagues, two Spanish Super Cups, one Copa del Rey, one Club World Cup and one European Super Cup) and he scored 41 goals. In the Champions League he scored five goals for the Blaugrana.
Other recent reunions
While the list of players that have featured for both AC Milan and FC Barcelona is extremely long, the most recent meetings between the two sides are especially marked by the following reunions. In 2010, Ronaldinho played for the last time at the Camp Nou. AC Milan faced Barça for the Joan Gamper trophy, and the Brazilian received a standing ovation from the fans. Last year it was Ibrahimovic, who played for Barça in the 2009/10 season, who faced the Blaugrana. The Swede played against Barça four times last year.
“I don’t want to focus on my feelings”
On Monday Bojan told the press that Wednesday’s match “will be a special one for me, but I don’t want to think about about the feelings I have inside.” He added: “nothing is impossible. We know that defeating Barça will be very difficult, because they are the best team in the world.”
