FC Barcelona have gone on to claim victory after each and every international break (four) this season

This Sunday FC Barcelona will feature in its fifth match after an international break. In the first four occasions, the Blaugrana have always gone on to claim the three points.

Barça thrash Real Sociedad and Getafe

The first international break took place just before the start of the domestic competition. FC Barcelona managed to steer clear of the famed ‘FIFA virus’ and went on to fire five goals past Real Sociedad at the Camp Nou (5-1). Three weeks later, Barça played away to Getafe after another international break. The result ended in another rout for the Blaugrana: 1-4.

Victories against Deportivo and Zaragoza

The third international break was scheduled in October, just after the Clásico in the league. FC Barcelona returned from the break and took on Deportivo at the Riazor. The match ended up being one of the most thrilling encounters this season, the final result was 4-5 for the Blaugrana. Four weeks later, in November, the team defeated Zaragoza by 3-1 after yet another international break. Will Barça get a fifth post-international break win?
