Thiago and Song, who didn’t travel to Cameroon, worked out in the gym

The Ciutat Esportiva was nearly vacant this afternoon as the international break has claimed most of Barça’s first team roster. The four available first team players – Pinto, Tello, Montoya and Abidal – joined the reserve side for a joint session led by Jordi Roura and Eusebio Sacristán.

Abidal, who spent serval days in hospital for a routine check-up after his liver transplant in April, returned to training with the team.

Bartra, with fever. Thiago and Song train in the gym

Marc Bartra missed today’s training session due to illness and Thiago and Song trained in the gym. The Cameroonian is recovering from knee issues and he will not feature for his country this week. Thiago is also dealing with pain in his right knee.

Barça B also hit by the international break

Rafinha didn’t train this afternoon due to a knock to his right calf muscle. His recovery will mark his availability for upcoming matches. In any event, he’s suspended for Barça B’s next match, against Guadalajara.

In addition to Rafinha, seven Barça B players missed this afternoon’s session – Luis Alberto, Grimaldo, Deulofeu, Sergi Gómez, Lede, Ié and Cá – but Sergi Roberto did train with the team.
