Squad arrives in Lisbon

Barça travelled on Monday morning to the Portuguese capital, where they are due to face Benfica in the Champions League

The plane touched down in Portugal at midday on Monday, having left Barcelona Airport at 11.30. About an hour and a half later it arrived in a city where the temperature was 20 degrees, and where Benfica await in tomorrow night’s Champions League clash.

The expedition was led by secretary and spokesman Toni Freixa, joined by director Javier Bordas and technical secretary Andoni Zubizarreta. President Sandro Rosell and director Jordi Moix will be arriving tomorrow.

Pre-match arrangements

Iniesta, Puyol and Adriano were all included in the 21 that’s travelled with Tito Vilanova. After arrival, the players were transferred directly to Hotel Pestana Palace.

Barça will train this evening at 19.00 local time in the same venue where the match will be played.
